About CoreMark

Practice that's built around the topic, not the exam

CoreMark produces original topic-wise practice booklets for the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum — Stage 7, 8 and 9 — covering Mathematics, Science and Computing.

What CoreMark is

CoreMark is a publisher of printable PDF practice resources for students following the Cambridge Lower Secondary programme. Each booklet covers a single topic — not a mixed bag of questions across the whole syllabus — so students and tutors can isolate exactly where a gap exists and close it efficiently.

Booklets are sold individually (₹249 per topic) or in bundles by subject or stage. They are delivered instantly as downloadable PDFs, printable at home on any A4 printer.

What's inside every booster pack

Every CoreMark booster pack contains four components, written for the specific topic — not adapted from a generic template:

Why topic-by-topic

Most Cambridge practice material comes in the form of mixed-topic past-paper style tests. These are useful for exam simulation, but a poor diagnostic tool. A student who scores 14/20 on a mixed paper has learned almost nothing about where the 6 missing marks went.

Working one topic at a time — cheat sheet, then focused practice, then checking solutions against the reasoning — is a faster route to closing specific gaps. CoreMark is built around that approach.

Who built CoreMark

CoreMark was built by Snehal Patel, a parent of a Cambridge Lower Secondary student based in India. When Snehal's child started Stage 7, the available practice resources fell into two camps: expensive international textbooks that covered far more than was needed, and mixed-topic past-paper simulations that were useful for exam rehearsal but almost useless for identifying where the gaps were.

The approach that actually worked in tutoring sessions — isolate one topic, work through it completely with a cheat sheet and focused questions, then check solutions against step-by-step reasoning — did not exist as a ready-made product for Cambridge Lower Secondary. CoreMark was built to fill that gap.

CoreMark is a Cambridge Lower Secondary practice resource publisher for Indian families whose children attend Cambridge-curriculum international schools. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cambridge Assessment International Education. Content is written in the style of the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint assessment framework — original material, not past papers.

CoreMark was founded in India in 2025 and covers Stages 7, 8 and 9 across Mathematics, Science and Computing.

How CoreMark content is made

Every CoreMark booster pack is developed against the current Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum framework — 0862 for Maths, 0893 for Science, and 0860 for Computing. The process for each pack is:

  1. Syllabus mapping — the learning objectives for that topic are extracted from the CAIE framework and listed explicitly. Questions are written to test only what the framework specifies at that stage.
  2. Question authorship — 20 questions are written in three bands: Foundation (direct application of one rule), Standard (multi-step or contextualised), and Stretch (unfamiliar context, requires combining two or more ideas). Question style follows Cambridge Checkpoint command words (calculate, describe, explain, give, show that).
  3. Solution review — every worked solution is written out in full, then cross-checked against the question. Common errors are identified and noted in the solution margin.
  4. Cheat sheet — the one-page reference is written after the questions are complete, to ensure it covers exactly what the questions require and nothing beyond the stage syllabus.

Snehal has worked through the Cambridge Lower Secondary syllabus across all three subjects and all three stages to build the 88 boosters in the current catalogue. All content is original — not adapted from past papers or third-party resources.
